F.A.S.T. is proud to be a part of the Friends of Hermon Dog Park. Here is their official announcement dated 9/17/09:

[Friends of Hermon Dog Park, Inc. - a 501(c)3 non-profit organization].

“THE BOARD OF THE FHDP is very excited to announce a much needed. out-of-the-box way that we are able to follow our mission statement regarding humane education.

“The Friends of Hermon Dog Park exist to enhance the Hermon Dog Park, keep its environment safe and healthy, teach responsible pet ownership and further humane education, encourage dog training efforts, organize pet adoption events, and help other organizations that provide for the care of animals.”

We have joined forces with the brand-new local humane organization, F.A.S.T. or Friends of Animals Search & Rescue Team, helping homeless pets.   You can help if you know of any stray cats or dogs by letting F.A.S.T. know the location in Northeast LA.  They will visit the site as soon as possible, and then, with the property owner’s permission, will catch, spay/neuter, provide medical attention, and set up a long-term feeding program. “
